Today is as beautiful as the shining sun. As calming as the full moon at night. As sparkling as the stars in the sky. As hopeful as the green leaves grafted in the tree.

The truth is, there’s no money coming in today. The work has been over. The home is still the same. The plates are still to be washed. The laundry is still piling up. Today isn’t different than yesterday but today is a delight as magnum ice cream. It’s as sweet like halo-halo in Chowking. It’s so beautiful like a well trimmed garden. Today is totally amazing because today is Home.

Oh, how beautiful it is to simply stay at home. To breathe with the roosters. To hug Kyle our white beautiful dog. To cook rice and wait for my one true love to come home. To prepare dinner and eat with my someone special. To dream together. To listen to the inner voice of the Spirit. To simply know that I am okay to not be like everybody else. To feel valuable even if where I am isn’t the in thing of which the world calls in.

How relaxing life is when it’s in line to His plans for me. To not be so worried about tomorrow because God’s there ahead. To not regret about yesterday because the lessons are worth to hold. But to simply savor Today.

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

As I come to reflect it again, I just realize that many of the stresses in life are results of mistrust to the ability of God to protect us, to provide for us, to heal us, and to love us. In mistrust, we begin to take charge of our own life, and from our limited view of tomorrow, we put our life to our own hands with so much anxiety and fear about tomorrow.

How about waking up trusting to the One who knows our end from our beginning. That He who put us in the palm of His hands has good plans for us. It may not be exactly what we think as great for ourselves but it sure does be beautiful if it will be He who will continue to follow the sketches he has for our lives.

Make today a better day for you by wholly trusting to the One who best knows you.
