“Come, follow me,” he said, “and I’ll show you how to fish for people.” Right away, they left their nets and followed him.
Mark 1:17-18 CEB (http://bible.com/37/mrk.1.17-18.CEB)
It’s fascinating to me that Simon & Andrew right away left their jobs & follow Jesus. I am thinking about this & I realized that there is a huge difference between having a personal encounter with Jesus Christ & hearing about Jesus from someone else.
Today, we could read about Jesus in all social media but people hardened their hearts towards Jesus. This really made me think. And then I realized that many of us talks about Jesus but we don’t live like Him. We point people to Jesus but people encountered us acting superior than them because we are doing religious stuff & we label them us unbelievers & sinners.
Jesus is not condemning, rather, He invites us to Himself no matter where we are. We might be in our jobs, at home cleaning, in our deepest sin, Jesus gives all of us the same invitation to follow Him. Jesus did not say, do these things & follow me. He said “follow me.”
Today, let’s be honest towards Jesus. He knows our thoughts. He knows our fears. He knows our hearts. Let’s tell Him the truth about us & if we are having a hard time, let’s just say, Jesus, I’m having a hard time, but I receive Your invitation, & I wanna follow You.
Let’s start from there.
Jesus Loves You🌻
